Light golden color. Funky, wild, rich, creamy, yeasty, and earthy nose. The leaf mold character is fascinating. As it opens, sweetness balances against the strong sauvage character. On the palate, #4 is full-bodied, dense, and chewy, with superb mouth feel. It’s particularly lively and seems to dance on the palate. We suspect that this is an outstanding food Champagne. Stressing power rather than grace and elegance, #4 kept improving in the glass. Excellent quality.
